Ultra Pure Water

In industries with extremely stringent quality standards requiring ultrapure water, contamination is the enemy. To overcome this problem, Vadivel Cocotech activated carbon is the solution. Our products are geared to achieving parts per million (ppm) and parts per billion (ppb) levels of dissolved organics reducing the total organic content (TOC) to minute levels.

Such levels in combination with minute levels of dissolved ions, minerals and gases, effective removal of chlorine and chloramines, ideal pH levels as well as low silica content are demanded by the influent and in-process waters used in semiconductor manufacture, boiler condensate water and kidney dialysis among other leading application segments. Vadivel Cocotech carbons being a superior adsorbent with low ash content, demonstrating high resistance to attrition and enhanced hardness give a total solution in realizing these requirements ensuring a longer lifetime of the filters.

Dialysis

Failure of kidneys is fatal to humans. Patients with acute disturbances in kidney function or chronic kidney disease undergo Dialysis, the treatment which artificially replaces the functions of the kidney. Vadivel Cocotech activated carbon provided for this application meets 3 essential criteria: Minimal release of soluble ions that do not affect the semi permeable membrane, meet the optimum Iodine number that helps maintain low monochloramine levels in the water, and achieve near neutral pH levels.

These specially designed carbons using in-house R&D muscle show very high kinetics in removing chlorine/chloramines as well as other contaminant species present in the water. Along with our standard product range we also offer customizable solutions, R&D support and well as engineering assistance to supply you a solution matching your exact requirement.

Electronics Industry

The main liquid phase application of Activated Carbon in the electronics industry is in producing Ultrapure Water. Vadivel Cocotech high purity activated carbon products for ultrapure water production are industry recognized for removal of impurities in influent or in-process waters in semiconductor manufacture. These specialized carbons are used in a chain of chemical engineering operations designed to remove particles, hydrocarbons, chlorine, dissolved ions and dissolved gases from water, which could damage the very fine circuits of chips etc. used in electronic devices.

Vadivel Cocotech Ultrapure Water Carbons (which are acid washed) offers superior adsorption properties and very high purity levels, ensuring that the required water qualities are always met. Our products are front runners in the industry and have gained recognition for its unique features, quality and consistency. In addition to superior performance, Vadivel Cocotech Activated Carbon has a superior hardness that allows a longer lifetime in the circuit and the capacity to be regenerated thermally without breakdown of the product leading to savings in operational and handling costs.
