Edible Oil Purification

Edible oils which mainly comprises of vegetable oil, coconut oil, food oils and marine oils are usually contaminated with carcinogenic Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), Heavy Poly Nucleic Aromatics (HPNA), persistent organic pollutants such as dioxins, Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB), pesticides and herbicides. Vadivel Cocotech offers a tailor made product range of Fine Grade Activated Carbons (GAC) for the purification of these oils. Our carbons with optimum iodine, methylene blue and molasses figures demonstrate effective colour and smell removal capabilities and consistent adsorption of other contaminant molecular species. Our products manufactured are of high purity and filterability, being the ideal solution for your edible oil purification requirements. Vadivel Cocotech’s recommended product range is suitable for the purification of coconut oil, olive oil, fish oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, palm/palm kernel oil as well as soybean oil.

Cigarette Filters

Cigarette smoke contains a number of compounds identified as irritants and possibly toxic chemicals to living systems. These compounds though not effectively filtered by standard filters are successfully and selectively trapped by activated carbons. Vadivel Cocotech offers a premium range of coconut shell based activated carbons specially processed with optimal adsorption characteristics for cigarette filters. Our activated carbons products greatly increase the retention of a wide range of vapour phase, semi volatile as well as low molecular weight contaminants in cigarette smoke including aldehydes, cyanides, ketones, hydrocarbons and pyridine among many others. The tailor made particle size distributions of these products ensures high kinetics, whilst the low dust and fine particle content prevents the contamination and discoloration of filters, and prevents contaminant leakages.
